People are criticising last week’s episode of Silent Witness for a gay rape scene that was too graphic. The show is shown after the watershed and there is a warning for violent and upsetting scenes. Thanks for your help guys. I’ve deleted some of the more barbed comments she makes. I think I was getting a little carried away in places. She’s not like that all the time, but in that situation she is lonely and doesn’t feel like she fits in. The rest of the book she’s very different.
Do you find sarcastic characters likeable?
Serious question that I need serious answers to. My narrative within my novel is quite sarcastic and I worry this might not make the character particularly likeable, even though I would love a character for it, others might not. Thoughts?
